Would you trust a University Soil Scientist after reading this?
Here’s a quote from a 2011 Farm Progress article by George Rehm, University of Minnesota Extension Soil Scientist, "It's relatively easy to identify a foo-foo juice product. There are claims like: 1) it balances soil fertility, or 2) it enhances the availability of all nutrients in commercial fertilizer, 3) it improves water availability, 4) it improves soil drainage, 5) it promotes biological life in the soil etc. Any product that is so new that universities and the Extension Service do not know about it is sure to be foo-foo juice.”
My response: Since farmers started using biologicals years ago and now realize their healthy benefit to plants and the soil, George Rehm's statement is more proof why you can’t trust University and the Extension Service reports as ALL of George’s 5 statements have been proven to be 100% false. Whether it's through university influence and misdirection, or Department of Agriculture overreach, beware of Big Ag's lies.
Pretty dumb things farmers have done:
Dan Luepkes, one of the original NCGA farmers in the Corn Warriors YouTube series, said in his video, “Back in the day…when we moldboard plowed in the Spring, which I don’t know why we did that, but we did. Looking back it seems like it was pretty dumb.”
I responded saying, “Just think, in 10 or 20 years from now you can look back and see how dumb your methods are today.”
